Christmas Nails #2

3 days to go!!!

As promised here is my second Christmas mani and I'm absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! I wanted to do something different on each nail for this one and I'm especially happy with how the holly looks on my right hand, that was by far the hardest one to do with my left hand.

I'm all ready for Christmas; presents all wrapped, decorations hung, nails painted (though i still have work tomorrow and Tuesday!) I still don't feel fully festive but i'm hoping i will tomorrow with the early rise and seeing all the Christmas lights in the morning whilst the world seems sleepy with the majority of people still in bed.

I hope you all have a fab Christmas!

Christmas Nails #1

I hope everyone is all prepared now for Christmas! With less than a week to go it is the final end of the Christmas countdown and some people are manicly rushing around finding the last gifts and cards; shops are crazy at the moment so i'm trying to avoid them!

Here's my first lot of Christmas inspired nails, i love red and white - you can't really go wrong with it and a bit of glitter thrown in for good measure :)

For this i used a 17 nail polish which is my all time favourite red (no name on the bottle)! Actually i think i'll get another one because it's so gorgeous; if i can find the name of it. Then i used Barry M Red Glitter for the tips and Natural Collection nail tip whitener for the detailing.

Unfortunatly i'm sad to say that within a day the glitter started to chip off; no idea why as it stayed on great when i did my whole nails in the glitter and i used top coat but hey.

It's made me feel more in the Christmas spirit with my nails like this and hopefully at the weekend i will have another Christmas nail mani for you :)

Valentines

Happy Valentines everyone :) hope you've had a great day whatever you've done.
I've spent mine just at work and then eating chocolate, drinking coffee and watching one born every minute with my mom tonight. Will be exchanging valentines gifts with Glen at the weekend :)

I used a sponged effect on my nails, pink just for valentines :) i really loved how it turned out it looked like a really smooth blend.

The Polish i used were china glaze in 'Purple Panic', Barry M 'Red Glitter' Natural Collection tip whitener, Collection 2000 '48 Candy Floss', Rio professional nail art pen dark red.

I used the Rio pen to do little hearts on most of my nails and then a glitter heart on my ring finger and full red glitter on my thumb.

I think i prefer my nails before the hearts, what do you think?

Delicate dots

I actually really loved these nails. they felt really feminine and such a simple design but i was so pleased with it.

I had to do a few coats of white polish and then do one coat of this pinky colour because it was a very transparent colour; which ended up making it look so delicate. i also had to do a few coats of the brown colour as it wasn't so strong.

To do the dots i used the brown colour on the pink nails and then white polish on my ring finger.

Revlon nail polish (Don't know the names of them individually as they came in a set)

Natural Collection nail tip whitener.

This is probably one of my favourite mani's. Though i nearly always think that when i do my nails haha.

What do you think? Have you ever tried anything like this?

My Saturday - and Children in Need Nails

1. lots of junk for a saturday night in 2. new opi glitter nail polish 3. salt rock candle
4. OOTD 5. Oil burner 6. New oil fragrances
7. Parsnip :) 8. Children in need nails

First up is this OPI Nail varnish 'Pirouette my Whistle' that my boyfriends sister has kindly given to me. She didn't use it and knows my love for nail varnish so gave it to me. i can't wait to try it out (love of glitter and all that)

I saw these candles in the German market in Birmingham the other day (woo Christmas is on it's way!!) and i fell in love with them. They look even more gorgeous when they're lit up so i will post the pics when i use it. Anyway i thought the ones at the German market were a little overprices so i found this one for £4 here.

Yesterday was Children in need so at the last minute on Thursday evening decided to do my nails themed.

Hopefully you can kind of see the resemblance, i din't have the time or patience to do actual Pudsy on my nails so just did his bandanna.

L-R: Sally Hansen Hard as nail - used as a base coat; Rimmel '055, Sunshine'; 17 - doesn't have a name; MUA - Shade 9; Natural Collection - Nail Tip Whitener; China Glaze - In the Lime Light Neon

Just an OOTD - Jane Norman jumper, Topshop 'Jamie' jeans and my Adidas trainers.
Just right for a quick trip to some garden centres to get some accessories for Christmas!

Baby Parsnip looks so small in my kitchen :D

Hope you're all having a good weekend
