Nail sticks

As you may have seen a few posts ago i used an inventive way of showing swatches for the new Sinful Colors range in boots (you can see the post HERE)

Every time i get a new nail polish i want to try it out straight away; i'm far too impatient. Obviously i can't put them all on at once so i thought about getting a nail wheel, but i honestly don't know where i'd store them!

I also wanted a way of remembering exactly what the nail polish looks like because they don't always look like they do in the bottle.

I then had a light bulb moment and thought hang on.... I whizzed onto ebay and brought some fake nails and some lolly sticks.

I got 500 fake nails because they come in 1- different sizes (50 of each size) so obviously the smaller ones won't fit on the lolly sticks. You can find the fake nails HERE and they were a really good price of £1.79!!! and then the lolly sticks (which are out of stock now but there's plenty more on ebay) which i got for £1.55 for 100.

I used the bigger ones first and along with some good old PVA glue  and just stuck the fake nails to the lolly sticks.

Then, you can paint the nails and using the lolly sticks write the name of the polish on the one side and on the other side write the brand of polish!

I'm not 100% sure how to store them yet but i did think of something like this, just a jar filled with shells and stones from the beach and place the sticks in there :)

Hope you like this little idea, i'm sure it's going to come in handy for me!
