Cleopatra blue

How are we in July already?! Not long till Christmas ;) I just hope the sun makes more of an appearance before the summer months are over.

I feel really drained this week, no idea why but i only have 4 days at work, woo! It's my sisters prom on Thursday (Independance day) so i'm having the day off to do her nails and go with her to get ready - i will hopefully post photos. Bless her, all grown up!

Here's this mani i did - i got some blue crackle nail polish out of my vast amount of nail hoarding containers and realised i'd never tried it out. I also wanted another gold glitter to go with it. Oh and to try my gold chrome polish.

For this i used Stargazer Chrome nail polish in gold, O.P.I Goldeneye and O.P.I Blue Shatter

This was one coat of the chrome polish, as you can see it needs way more than one coat but i was going to do glitter over it anyway so it's all ok.

Once I'd finished i realised that it reminded me of Cleopatra.

What's your favourite colour crackle to use?

Orange, Chrome Tips and Crackle

Who can believe that the weekend is almost over already! I've had a great weekend, i went shopping and ended up buying quite a few things; oops! Hopefully i will get round to showing you all what i got eventually.

My nails are in bad condition at the moment (i have what looks like a crack going down my middle finger nail on my right hand, sob!) so i'm laying off the varnish until it grows out a bit. This is so hard not having my nails painted and it's only been a week. So here's my nails that i did a while ago (as you can tell from the sunshine in the picture)

I don't have pictures of the polish that i used but i used Stargazer chrome nail polish, Collection 2000 in '28; Hip Hop' and Barry M crackle nail polish in black.

Do you prefer them before or after the crackle? I love my chrome nail polish and got it in gold at Christmas but haven't tried it out yet (which i will do soon once my nails are in a better condition)

Hope you all had a great weekend :)

Fiery Fade

Hey, so this is the first fade I've ever done and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :)

I thought these colours would stand out really well and give a good effect so i chose to use a chrome base and then 3 'hot' colours.

The chrome nail polish is by Stargazer and i love it (i will do a post of this at a later date) the darkest colour is rimmel lycra pro, "393 Desire" the barry m red is absolutely gorgeous (i will do another post of this as well because i love it) and the orange is a really strong colour by collection 2000, "28 Hip Hop". I love all of these colours so i thought there was no better way than to use them all at once.

I forgot to take a picture of just the chrome, so anyway 2 layers of the chrome nail polish (no base coat). i then used a make up sponge i had and a mini paint pallet to put some of the Orange nail polish onto. I then used the sponge to sponge some on but leaving some of the chrome visible at the bottom of my nail.

Notice how my nail's look 3d, that's because they are. Some of the sponge came off with my nail polish so once I'd started i had to keep going.

Not that this picture looks that much different but this is with a coat of the red polish on over the top, again covering less of the nail with each layer.

This picture with the final colour added on to the tips. As you can see i got a lot of it over my fingers so i needed to do a lot of tidying up.

These are the final pictures. After tidying up i added 3 coats of top coat because my nails had parts of the sponge on they kept catching on my clothes. They were so shiny afterwards and looked really nice because of the colours. This stayed on quite well (probably because the amount of layers) so overall i was really pleased :)
